China warns Indian foreign minister to refrain from irresponsible remarks
BEIJING (TSAT) - China on Tuesday warned the Indian top envoy to refrain from irresponsible remarks and take practical actions to resolve the border issues between two countries.
During his regular press briefing, the Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin while responding to a question said that ins and outs of the situation on China-India border are very clear and the responsibility lie on New Delhi.
“At present, China and India are in communication on further improving border management and control and confidence-building measures. We hope that the Indian side will strictly abide by a series of agreements signed by the two sides, refrain from making irresponsible remarks and take concrete actions and work with China to jointly safeguard peace and tranquility of the border area,” he said,
Last week, the Indian foreign minister Jaishankar during the so-called Quad, an alliance of the US, Japan, Australia and India against China, criticized Beijing for its economic sanctions against Australia and also accused Beijing for ongoing conflict at China-India border.
