ISLAMABAD (TSAT) - Millions of Pakistani fans of the prominent Turkish actor Ayberk Pekcan known as Artuk Bey mourning over his sudden death.

Artuk Bey who lost his breath on Monday due to lungs cancer in hospital who was under treatment there.

“Too sad to know that Artuk Bey of Dirilis Ertuğrul lost his life. Artuk Bey (Ayberk Pekcan) was hospitlized and receiving cancer treatment in hospital for a while. May his soul rest in peace… AMIN,” Ali Sahin, a Turkish politician and former Deputy Minister tweeted.

After his tweet millions Pakistani expressed their heartfelt condolences with Turkish people and Artuk Bey family over social media platforms.

“Woke up to this Tragic News about the demise of #ArtukBey from Ertugrul Ghazi. He was one of my favourites I can’t believe it i have no words. May Allah give strength to the family of departed soul ! Amern,” Aasma khan yousafzai tweeted.

Turkish ambassador to Pakistan Mustafa Yurdakul also shared Artuk Bey picture along with him and expressed his grief over his demise .

“Inna lilahi wa inna ilayhi rajioon… Ayberk Pekcan (Artuk Bey) is no more,” he wrote on Twitter.

“Oh My God such a heart wrenching Broken heart news. Really inspired with his character and role in #ertugrul May Almighty blessed him with the highest ranks in Jannah,” another Pakistani Tayyab Khan said

The Turkish TV series ErtugrulGazi (Diriliş Ertuğrul) is the most popular TV series in Pakistan and other South Asian countries as the Pakistan state television PTV  broadcast its version dubbed in Urdu.

During last two years, the PTV gained over 17.8 million subscribers on its TRT Ertugrul by PTV YouTube page with over 6.27 billion views.

The TV series tells the story of the establishment of Ottoman Empire in 13th century Anatolia and how they established a true Islamic empire with equal justice system.

Pakistani President Arif Alvi and Prime Minister also watched the series and suggested its nation to watch it to know its true Muslim history.
