Arab and Muslim Foreign Ministers Back Trump’s Peace Proposal on Gaza

By The South Asia Times

Islamabad– The foreign ministers of Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Indonesia, Pakistan, Türkiye, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Egypt issued a joint statement on Monday expressing support for U.S. President Donald Trump’s efforts to end the war in Gaza and advance a comprehensive peace in the Middle East.

The ministers welcomed Trump’s leadership and his proposal to end the conflict, rebuild Gaza, prevent the displacement of Palestinians, and block any annexation of the West Bank. They voiced confidence in his ability to help secure a durable peace, describing partnership with the United States as “essential” for regional stability.

“The ministers affirm their readiness to engage positively and constructively with the United States and the parties toward finalizing the agreement and ensuring its implementation,” the statement said, emphasizing that the plan should deliver peace, security, and stability for all peoples of the region.

The joint statement reaffirmed the ministers’ commitment to working with Washington on a comprehensive deal that would:

  • Guarantee unrestricted delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza.

  • Prevent the forced displacement of Palestinians.

  • Ensure the release of hostages.

  • Establish a credible security mechanism for all sides.

  • Secure a full Israeli withdrawal.

  • Rebuild Gaza and create a pathway to peace.

The ministers underscored that a just and lasting solution must be rooted in the two-state framework, with Gaza and the West Bank fully integrated into a sovereign Palestinian state in line with international law.

They concluded that achieving such an outcome was “key to ensuring regional stability and security.”
