Two killed in attack on former Afghan govt deputy chief executive house, Taliban also release foreign journalists

KABUL (TSAT) - At least two people were killed during an attack on former Afghan government Deputy Chief Executive Muhammad khan house in Kabul, local media said.

During the attack the son of Khan and his security guard killed while Khan's wife and another security guard wounded, Khaama Press reported.

The local media quoted the local official said that the attack has not carried out from outside but its happened inside the house during family clash. 

"The attack was triggered by family issues and conflict inside the house and that no gunman has entered the house to carry out the attack." the Khaama quoted the spokesperson of the Kabul police headquarter Khalid Zadran as saying. 

 

 

  • Taliban releases foreign journalist 

Meanwhile, Afghan Taliban has released the two foreign journalists who were detained a day earlier.

 

"We are relieved to confirm the release in Kabul of the two journalists on assignment with UNHCR, and the Afghan nationals working with them," said the UNHCR.

"We are grateful to all who expressed concern and offered help. We remain committed to the people of Afghanistan." the UN agency tweeted.

Earlier Taliban deputy spokesman Bilal Karimi said that they released the foreign national who were detained because had no identity cards.

 

"Foreign nationals who identified themselves as belonging to an international organization were detained because they did not have identity cards, licenses or the necessary documents.

They were in good condition and in contact with their families," Karimi said. 

 

Taliban also released Parwana Ibrahimkhel, a women's rights protester who was detained around 20 days ago after the UN Secretary General demand.

Ibrahimkhel said that she had been released and she is in good health, Tolo News reported.

Taliban also released the other two women who were arrested after trying to leave the country without any legal documents.
