Six Students Martyred in Khuzdar School Bus Attack; Pakistan Blames Indian-Sponsored Terrorism

By The South Asia Times

Khuzdar — The death toll from the recent terrorist attack on a school bus in Khuzdar area of southwestern Balochistan province has risen to six, after another critically injured student succumbed to her wounds, according to Pakistani security sources.

The latest victim, identified as Malaika, had been receiving treatment since the attack.

Security officials have attributed the deadly assault to Indian-sponsored terrorists, calling it a continuation of what they describe as India's long-standing campaign to destabilize Pakistan through covert operations and proxy violence.

“The student Malaika, who was critically injured in the Khuzdar terrorist attack, has embraced martyrdom,” security sources confirmed. “The number of students martyred has now risen to six — five female students and one male student.”

The attack, which targeted a vehicle transporting schoolchildren, has sparked national outrage and condemnation. Authorities have launched a comprehensive investigation, but initial intelligence assessments point toward involvement of elements allegedly supported and directed from across the border.

“This cowardly act of terrorism was planned in the terrorist state of India,” the sources alleged. “It is part of India’s malign strategy to spread chaos and fear inside Pakistan by targeting soft and vulnerable civilian populations.”

The attack is the latest in a string of incidents Pakistani officials say are part of a broader hybrid warfare strategy, designed to undermine Pakistan’s internal security and unity.

Security officials also vowed a firm response: “The blood of these innocent children will not go unavenged. Pakistan will take all necessary measures to hold India and its patrons accountable for their crimes.”

There has been no official comment from New Delhi on the allegations.

The government of Pakistan is expected to raise the issue at international forums, urging global powers and human rights organizations to take notice of what it calls “state-sponsored terrorism against Pakistani civilians.”

As families mourn the loss of their children, calls for justice and accountability grow louder across the country.
