At least 300 North Korean soldiers killed in war against Ukraine

SEOUL - South Korean spy agency on Monday claimed that at least 300 North Korean soldiers were killed and around 2,700 injured in war against Ukraine.

South Korean National Intelligence Service (NIS) while briefing the lawmakers said that North Korean soldiers fighting alongside Russian troops against Ukraine.

NIS called it "massive casualties" of North Korean soldiers to their "lack of understanding of modern warfare," including their "useless" act of shooting at long-range drones, based on the agency's analysis of a combat video it obtained recently, Yonhap News Agency reported.

On Sunday, NIS claimed that Ukraine captured two North Korean soldiers in injured condition.

Earlier, the Ukrainian President also claimed that they captured two North Korean soldiers.

So far, North Korea hasn’t reacted to the South Korean spy agency's claim.

Earlier, the US, South Korea, and NATO calimed that North Korea sent over 10,000 soldiers to Russia to fight against Ukraine.

 

However, North Korea and Russia didn’t confirm or deny the claims.
