By The South Asia Times

PESHAWAR  – Pakistani security forces have killed 24 militants linked to Indian-backed proxy group Fitna Al Khwarij during two separate operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Friday.

An intelligence-led operation in Orakzai District resulted in 14 militants being killed following a heavy exchange of fire, while a similar operation in Khyber District neutralized another 10 militants. ISPR stated that sanitization efforts are ongoing to eliminate any remaining elements in the area.

“These operations are part of a relentless counterterrorism campaign under the vision ‘Azm-e-Istehkam,’ aimed at eradicating foreign-supported terrorism from Pakistan,” the military added.

Separately, in Balochistan, Pakistani forces have killed 216 terrorists since Saturday following a major attack by Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) terrorists. The attacks resulted in the deaths of 22 security personnel and 36 civilians, including women and children.

Authorities said security forces remain on high alert, continuing operations across affected areas to dismantle militant networks and prevent further attacks.
