By The South Asia Times

ISLAMABAD - Pakistan’s security forces killed fifteen militants in two separate intelligence-based operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on 15–16 November, according to an official statement issued by ISPR on Tuesday

The first operation was carried out in the Kulachi area of Dera Ismail Khan District following reports of militant presence. Security forces engaged the group, resulting in the deaths of ten militants, including a key commander identified as Alam Mehsud.

In a separate action in the Datta Khel area of North Waziristan District, troops neutralized five additional militants during a similar intelligence-led engagement.

Authorities said that follow-up sanitization operations are underway to ensure no remaining militants are hiding in the surrounding areas.

The statement noted that the country’s counterterrorism campaign continues under the “Azm-e-Istehkam” framework, approved by the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan, with the objective of eliminating terrorism and dismantling networks supported from abroad.

Security officials reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining pressure on militant groups and preventing attempts to destabilize the region.
