13 Indian-Backed Militants Killed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Operations

By The South Asia Times

ISLAMABAD - Security Forces of Pakistan successfully neutralized thirteen militants affiliated with the Indian-backed group Fitna Al Khwarij during two separate intelligence-based operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on 12–13 December 2025.

In Mohmand District, following reports of militant presence, security personnel conducted a targeted operation. After an intense exchange of fire, seven militants were killed, effectively dismantling their local stronghold.

Meanwhile, in Bannu District, another intelligence-driven operation led to the elimination of six additional militants. Security Forces continue sanitization operations to ensure no remaining elements of the group remain in the area.

These actions form part of Pakistan’s ongoing counter-terrorism campaign, “Azm-e-Istehkam,” approved by the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan. The campaign underscores the commitment of Pakistan’s military and law enforcement agencies to eradicate foreign-sponsored terrorism and maintain national security across the country.

Authorities reaffirmed that operations will continue relentlessly to eliminate all threats posed by externally supported extremist groups.
