11 Indian-Backed Militants Killed in Intelligence-Based Operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

By The South Asia Times

Rawalpindi— Eleven militants affiliated with the Indian-sponsored proxy group Fitna Al Khwarij were killed in two separate intelligence-driven operations conducted by Pakistan’s Security Forces in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) reported on Saturday.

On January 8, Security Forces carried out an intelligence-based operation in North Waziristan District following reports of militant activity. During the operation, troops engaged a militant hideout, resulting in six militants being neutralized after an intense exchange of fire.

In a separate operation in Kurram District, a joint effort by local police and Security Forces led to the elimination of five militants. Weapons and ammunition were recovered from the deceased, who were reportedly involved in multiple terrorist activities, including attacks on Security Forces, law enforcement agencies, and targeted killings of civilians.

ISPR stated that “sanitization operations are ongoing to eliminate any remaining Indian-backed militants in the area,” emphasizing that the relentless counter-terrorism campaign under the vision Azm-e-Istehkam’, as approved by the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan, will continue at full pace to eradicate foreign-sponsored terrorism from Pakistan.

Security analysts say these operations reflect Pakistan’s sustained focus on intelligence-driven counter-terrorism measures and the coordination between military and law enforcement agencies to maintain regional stability.
