Pakistan NW, SW parts celebrate Eidul Fitr

ISLAMABAD (TSAT) - Pakistan northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and southwestern Balochistan province celebrated Eidul Fitr on Monday despite the government moon sighted committee announcement to observe Eid on Tuesday.
On Sunday night, the local private committees in both provinces announced the moon was sighted in different parts of their provinces and announced to observe Eid on Monday.
However, the official moon sighted committee said that they received no witnesses of moon sighting from any part of the country and Pakistan will observe Eid on Tuesday.
This is not the first time that NW parts observed Eid a day before the official announcement.
For a long time, the private committees in Peshawar and other parts hold their own meetings and announce Ramadan and Eid after receiving sightings.
