Pakistan Expresses Concern Over Resurgence of Violence in Yemen

ISLAMABAD, - Pakistan on Tuesday expressed deep concern over the renewed outbreak of violence in Yemen, warning that the deteriorating security situation threatens not only the country’s fragile peace but also the stability of the wider region.

In a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the spokesperson said Pakistan firmly supports the unity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity of Yemen and remains committed to all efforts aimed at achieving lasting peace and stability in the war-torn country.

The statement strongly opposed unilateral actions by any Yemeni party that could further escalate tensions, undermine ongoing peace initiatives, and jeopardize regional security. Pakistan stressed that such steps risk reversing progress made toward political reconciliation and prolonging the suffering of the Yemeni people.

Islamabad welcomed regional initiatives focused on de-escalation and confidence-building measures, emphasizing the importance of sustained diplomatic engagement to prevent further deterioration of the situation. The spokesperson underscored that dialogue and diplomacy remain the only viable path toward resolving the Yemen conflict.

Pakistan also expressed full solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to the security of the Kingdom. The statement highlighted Pakistan’s support for regional stability and its opposition to actions that could threaten peace in the Middle East.

Reiterating its long-standing position, Pakistan called for inclusive and comprehensive political dialogue involving all Yemeni stakeholders. It urged the people of Yemen and regional powers to work collectively toward a durable and peaceful settlement that addresses the root causes of the conflict and ensures long-term stability for the region.
