Pakistan successfully test-fires indigenously developed Fateh-II missile

ISLAMABAD - Pakistan conducted a successful training launch of the indigenously developed Fateh-II Missile System on Tuesday, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) announced.

 

The launch, carried out by the Army Rocket Force Command, was aimed at training troops, validating technical parameters, and evaluating sub-systems incorporated for improved accuracy and enhanced survivability, the military’s media wing said.

 

The Fateh-II is equipped with advanced avionics and state-of-the-art navigational aids, reflecting Pakistan’s growing indigenous capabilities in precision-strike weaponry.

 

The training launch was witnessed by senior officers from the Strategic Plans Division, Army Rocket Force Command, and Pakistan Army, along with scientists and engineers from strategic organizations. The forum commended the successful firing of the Fateh series missile.

 

President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Chief of Defense Forces, and all services chiefs appreciated the technical prowess, dedication, and commitment of all those involved in the successful training fire.

No further details about the missile’s range or payload capacity were disclosed. The test comes amid heightened regional tensions, though officials maintained the launch was routine training.
