ISLAMABAD - Top diplomats from Pakistan, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt are set to convene in Istanbul later this month for a crucial regional meeting, Pakistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed Wednesday.

The announcement came after Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar held a telephone conversation with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan. During the call, the two leaders exchanged views on recent regional developments and discussed efforts to promote peace and stability in the region.

According to a statement from the Foreign Office, FM Fidan extended an official invitation to Senator Dar to attend the upcoming Regional 4 Foreign Ministers' Meeting, which will bring together the four nations in Istanbul. Senator Dar accepted the invitation and confirmed his participation.

The meeting comes at a time of heightened regional tensions, with ongoing conflicts in the Middle East and growing international concern over stability in the region. While the specific agenda for the Istanbul gathering has not been disclosed, the participation of key regional powers—Pakistan, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt—underscores the importance of coordinated diplomatic efforts to address shared security and political challenges.

Further details regarding the exact date and agenda of the meeting are expected to be announced in the coming days.
