By The South Asia Times

Islamabad - Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, is set to visit China to co-chair the 7th round of the Pakistan–China Foreign Ministers’ Strategic Dialogue in Beijing on 4 January 2026.

The visit comes at the invitation of Mr. Wang Yi, China’s Foreign Minister, according to Pakistan Foreign Ministry.

The Strategic Dialogue serves as the highest consultative mechanism between Pakistan and China, providing a structured platform to review bilateral cooperation across all sectors, as well as regional and international developments of mutual interest.

During the Dialogue, both foreign ministers are expected to announce a series of initiatives and commemorative activities to mark the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries in 2026.

The visit underscores the commitment of Pakistan and China to strengthen their All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership, promoting regional peace, stability, and sustainable development through sustained high-level exchanges, it said.
